• Managed the China subsidiaries of two Fortune 500 companies - Commercial Metals Company and EchoStar Communications Corporation;

• China management consulting experience.  Developed strategic marketing and distribution plans, structured and negotiated financial and commercial transactions and carried out due diligence for more for approximately two dozen multinational companies and investment banks, including, Microsoft, National Semiconductor, Micron Electronics, Centigram Communications, NetFRAME Systems, WebTV Networks, SyQUEST, Electric Power Research Institute and Kaiser Aluminum & Chemical Corp.  Current clients are companies in the renewable energy, sustainable building materials and digital media industries.

• Co-founded, raised capital for and helped build MeeVee (formerly known as MyDTV) -
a patented and award-winning video search technology company;

• Education: Master's in East Asian Studies, Harvard University;  Bachelor's, Chinese, University of Wisconsin - Madison; student at Nanjing University PRC

• Concluded transactions with many of the world's leading technology and media companies as well as other multinationals;

• Write and lecture extensively on issues related to China business and trade - including at Harvard, Stanford and a joint United Nations-PRC-government conference.  Currently, Jonathan is the host of a weekly radio show - Barker's China Business Talk.
